Urology Fellowship - Program Resources

A surgical simulation and robotic training facility are equipped fully for surgical education and research.

Dr. Mohler explains the latest technology being used in the Department of Urology at Roswell Park.

The investigators/preceptors in the Department of Urology have over 10,000 square feet of laboratory space available in the Cell and Virus building and Medical Research Complex of the Roswell Park complex of facilities. All laboratories are modern and fully equipped for the appropriate research interests of the urology faculty. The buildings that house these laboratories are physically connected with easy access to key facilities within Roswell Park.

Research preceptors have access to Roswell Park shared core resources for flow cytometry, NMR, protein synthesis, small animal MRI, mass spectrometry, DNA sequencing development, mouse tumor models, molecular genetics, DNA microarray and gene expression, transgenics and biostatistics.

A state-of-the-art 35,000 mouse capacity vivarium opened in. The facility is overseen by two full-time veterinarians and the facilities were accredited recently by the American Association of Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC).
