The Department of Internal Medicine (DoIM) brings together general internists and internal medicine specialists with the common mission of providing our patients with state-of-the-art acute care and subspecialty expertise in cardiology, pulmonary medicine, nephrology, gastroenterology and infectious diseases.
Our faculty have national and international reputations and help establish clinical practice guidelines with a specific focus on the care of patients with cancer. We helm Roswell Park’s quality and safety initiatives and support Roswell Park’s status as a high reliability organization.
We are committed to educating the next generation of providers and we train and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows as well as advanced practice providers and pharmacy trainees. In addition, faculty members participate in research that spans laboratory studies, cancer prevention, epidemiology, and clinical outcomes.
