Application registration for the 2024 Breast Imaging Fellowship match will begin in August 2022.

When you choose a fellowship in Breast Imaging at Roswell Park, you’ll be an integral part of patient care. Our state-of-the-art Breast Imaging Department provides screening and diagnostic breast imaging services and minimally-invasive breast interventional procedures for Roswell Park patients and members of the community.
As a free-standing NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, our multidisciplinary, collaborative medicine model connects you with clinicians, researchers and specialists who understand every aspect of cancer care and cancer science.

Fellowship highlights
You will spend one year developing a strong knowledge of all aspects of breast disease and breast imaging, with comprehensive rotations in all relevant disciplines.
You’ll gain extensive clinical experience in:
- Screening and diagnostic mammography and breast ultrasound
- Breast MRI
- Pathology correlation
- Minimally invasive image-guided procedures
- Community outreach and disparities research
- Patient navigation
Comprehensive services provided include digital breast tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, MRI, I-125 radioactive seed, Scout and wire localizations, and image guided core biopsy (prone and upright stereotactic, ultrasound, and MRI).
Multidisciplinary training
You’ll work in a single location throughout the year, developing close relationships with leaders of the breast services through conferences and daily patient care.
Research opportunities and quality improvement projects are available for interested applicants. And if you’re interested in teaching, you can participate in training medical students and University at Buffalo Radiology residents.
Requirements and how to apply
The Breast Imaging Fellowship program is open to for board-certified or board-eligible diagnostic radiologists. Match process and applications will become available in August 2022.
In order to successfully complete your application, the following is required:
- SBI universal application
- Personal statement
- CV
- USMLE/COMLEX transcripts
- Medical school transcript
- Three letters of recommendation
