Licensed clinical social workers, baccalaureate-prepared social workers, and clerical support staff to assist patients and families with the challenges faced when dealing with a cancer diagnosis. We are the first call for any mental health related issues. The social worker would then connect patients with appropriate mental health services including psychology or psychiatry if needed as well as internal Roswell Park and community agencies and resources, individual counseling, and discharge planning and placement.
