The Division of Psychiatry is a medical specialty that consists of a team of physicians and APPs who help manage mental health disorders with medication and other non-pharmacological modalities. Our psychiatrists provide inpatient coverage 24/7/385.
- Complex mental health assessment and treatment.
- Treatment of delirium in the medical and surgical.
- Assessing suicidal patients, as well as those with aggression toward others.
- Decision making capacity assessment.
Inpatient consultations: The provider requesting the consultation should call the individual on call for psychiatry and provide clinical information, specifically the reason for the consultation. Consultations are done within 48 hours. For emergency consultations please call and discuss with the on-call psychiatry provider and psychiatrists will respond appropriately and with immediate guidance.
