Parking

When arriving at Roswell Park, you have a few parking options. The ramp on Carlton Street offers handicapped parking spots on the first floor and an enclosed walkway with direct access to the hospital. You may also utilize our valet parking services for a minimal charge. Wheelchairs for patient use are available at the main entrance.

Lodging

Many local hotels and hospitality houses in downtown Buffalo offer special rates to Roswell Park patients, their families and visitors. Patients or family members who do not live in the Buffalo area and have Medicaid may qualify for lodging assistance.

Language Assistance

If English is not your first language, you can rest easy at Roswell Park. Through the hospital's connection with the Language Line, you can rely on a staff of specially trained medical interpreters to provide translation services for more than 170 different languages. They deliver real-time translation, 24/7, so you and your family can be confident that you understand your diagnosis and treatment plan, and that your questions are being answered clearly and accurately.

Quality & Safety Reports

Roswell Park Cancer Institute’s quality & safety reports ensure the provision of high-quality cost-effective patient care. At Roswell Park, care and service systems are most effectively improved by continuously assessing and analyzing the structure, function and outcomes of these systems and using those data to indicate appropriate plans of correction.

The Victory Bell

Roswell Park’s victory bell is located in the lobby of the main hospital behind the Information Desk. Patients are invited to ring the bell to mark the end of treatment or the completion of another milestone. (Just ask a nurse or physician.) If you’d like to share your good news with the wider Roswell Park community, post a photo of yourself ringing the bell on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #RoswellStrong.

Janice Trudnowski, a brain cancer survivor who was treated at Roswell Park, donated the bell in 2015 to give patients a way to celebrate when they received good news. Ringing a bell is a treasured tradition at many cancer hospitals.
