Roswell Park CEO is Featured Speaker at Networking Event Supporting Women in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math

Candace Johnson, PhD, President & CEO of Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, is the featured speaker at the Women in STEM Seminar and Networking event on Wednesday, May 6 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Zebro Conference Room, Center for Genetics and Pharmacology, Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, located at 670 Virginia Street, Buffalo, NY.

Dr. Johnson will offer remarks in a presentation titled “Women in STEM: Progress and Challenges.” The program is an opportunity to bring people together who support women who are looking for or already have careers in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math. 

The event is hosted by Buffalo Women in STEM and the WNY STEM Hub, an organization that facilitates collaborations among business, education, community organizations, arts and cultural organizations, and government entities to advance the interdisciplinary teaching and learning of science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics in support of sustained economic and intellectual vitality in our five-county region.

The event is free and open to those interested in networking and supporting women in the sciences. Refreshments will be generously provided by Siemens during the networking portion after Dr. Johnson’s talk.
