Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Again Included on Great Oncology Programs List

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center has once again been included on Becker’s Hospital Review’s “100 Hospitals and Health Systems With Great Oncology Programs,” an annual list of centers that are national leaders in patient care, cancer outcomes and research.

In selecting facilities for its “Great Oncology Programs” feature, the Becker’s editorial team analyzed data from U.S. News & World Report cancer rankings, Truven Health Analytics, CareChex cancer care rankings, National Cancer Institute designations, the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer accreditations, American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) designations, and awards and Blue Distinction Center recognition from the BlueCross BlueShield Association.

“Roswell is a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive care center and has set itself apart as a leader in surgical robotics, vitamin D research, immunotherapy and vaccine therapy, studies targeting tumor microenvironment and cancer prevention and the development and testing of new agents and technology,” Becker’s notes in its description of Roswell Park.
