Are you a Roswell Park patient, family member or caregiver who would be an enthusiastic advocate for patient care? Your experience and insight are valuable, and we want your input.

The Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) has an important role in making decisions about hospital programs and policies with our patients’ best interests brought to the forefront. The 25-member council — co-facilitated by Kara Eaton, Executive Director of Patient and Family Experience, and Richard Satterwhite, Patient Engagement Specialist — is now accepting applications for new members. Some of the recent initiatives that our team contributed to include:

  • Clinical Pathways and Chemotherapy Education Program
  • Katherine, Anne and Donna Gioia Pediatric Hematology Oncology Center Build
  • OpenNotes and the Patient Portal
  • Inpatient Falls Prevention and the Standardization of Colored Wrist Bands to Promote Hospital safety

We embrace diversity and inclusion and are open to everyone who is willing to be a voice for patients of all races, genders, religions, and sexual orientations. Please visit the PFAC web page to fill out an application.
