About Sheeba H. Ba Aqeel

Biography:

Choosing hematology/oncology as a career is one of the best decisions I’ve made, and what made me realize this is the unique patient population who teach you what resilience truly means. My goal is to learn to provide the best possible care to cancer patients and become an important part of their journey.

With interests in learning about tumor microenviroment, my research focus is currently in understanding the dynamics of immune profiles affected by treatment and its related outcomes in hematologic malignancies like multiple myeloma and lymphoma. I am fortunate to be part of a comprehensive cancer center like Roswell Park, where I can find all the resources and amazing mentors who are helping me achieve my career goals.

Spending most of my life in big cities, moving to Buffalo has provided with the best of both worlds where I am able to explore the most beautiful hiking and biking trails along with exploring different restaurants. Other things I enjoy are reading, cooking, long road trips and enjoying ice cream in every season!
