About Mark Faber

Biography:

I was born and raised on Long Island, just outside of New York City. I moved to Buffalo in June 2017 for residency after completing my undergraduate medical education at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. While a resident in the Internal Medicine residency program at the State University of New York at Buffalo, I began working closely with the Leukemia Division at Roswell Park. I conducted research focusing on clonal hematopoiesis and MDS and was a recipient of the ASH HONORS Award, which allowed provided me the opportunity to present my findings at the ASH Annual Meeting and the International MDS Symposium in Copenhagen. My current research focuses on AML therapies. Upon the completion of my fellowship training, I plan to specialize in myeloid neoplasms in an academic setting.

Outside of work, I enjoy trying new restaurants and writing up reviews on Yelp! I regularly take high intensity interval training classes at the gym to stay fit. I also enjoy stand-up comedy shows, musical theater and attending local festivals with friends.
