Buffalo Sabres Prostate Cancer Early Detection & Survivorship Event

Meet Sabres alumni, enjoy refreshments and get a behind-the-scenes tour of KeyBank Center. Prostate cancer survivors are invited to attend an educational panel.

9th Annual Cruisin’ for a Cure

Saturday, Sept. 28, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center

Bring the whole family to check out a stunning lineup of classic cars, trucks and motorcycles at Cruisin’ for a Cure. Along with the display of vehicles, this car show and prostate cancer early-detection event will feature food for sale, music, door prizes, goodie bags and raffles. The event takes place rain or shine, and there is no admission charge.

As part of the event, men between ages 45-70 are invited to take part in a free prostate cancer early-detection clinic from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. You must register in advance. (Registration will open soon.) Men who are at least 40 years old and at high risk for prostate cancer are especially encouraged to attend. This includes:

  • African-Americans
  • Those who have been exposed to Agent Orange
  • Those with a family history of prostate cancer or who have a known BRCA 1/2 gene mutation 

If you register and are eligible, you’ll receive one-on-one educational consultation and free early-detection testing.

Cruisin’ for a Cure is presented by Roswell Park in conjunction with West Herr New York and MANUP Buffalo (Men Allied for the Need to Understand Prostate Cancer), with proceeds benefiting MANUP Buffalo for prostate cancer research.
