Connecting cancer research to our communities
Using innovative and collaborative approaches, Elisa M. Rodriguez, PhD, leads cancer and health disparities research that spans disciplines, engages underrepresented and underserved populations, and facilitates the translation and dissemination of findings into the community.
She served as Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center’s first-ever Chief Diversity and Equity Officer for Faculty. She’s currently the Vice President and Associate Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
Engaging diverse community partners to address health disparities
Dr. Rodriguez’s research investigates the social determinants and behavioral factors that influence racial and ethnic minority health status and health outcomes related to chronic disease conditions, as well as cancer prevention and control efforts among medically underserved populations.
