As part of a unanimous effort on the part of the nation’s 71 National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated cancer centers, Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is urging the nation’s physicians, parents and young adults to get cancer-preventing human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination back on track.

A longtime champion of education as “a great equalizer” will now lead Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center’s broad slate of educational programs. Jamie Smith, EdD, MLS, has joined the cancer center as Chief Academic Officer, Associate Director of Education and Dean of the Roswell Park Graduate Division of the University at Buffalo.

Roswell Park's Chief Pharmacy Officer, Lijian “Leo” Cai, PharmD, will receive the 2021 Donald E. Francke Medal winner from the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) in recognition of his long record of significant professional achievements.
