Roswell Park's Mary Reid, PhD, spoke alongside Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, representatives from The American Lung Association, GO2 for Lung Cancer and LUNGevity Foundation and lung cancer patient advocates who gathered on Capitol Hill to demand national action to reduce suffering and death from lung cancer.

Three competitive National Cancer Institute grants totaling $13.5 million will support the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center team leading a multi-institutional effort aimed at improving the potential of immune checkpoint inhibitors, in close collaboration with experts from the University of Rochester’s Wilmot Cancer Institute and Kaiser Permanente Northern California Division of Research.

A phase 1 clinical trial conducted exclusively at Roswell Park shows that a novel treatment regimen can make immunotherapy more effective in patients with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer (mTNBC). Results of the study are reported in The Journal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer.
