BUFFALO, N.Y. — Although men with prostate cancer usually respond to standard treatment with hormone therapy or chemotherapy, many will eventually experience progression or recurrence despite treatment — particularly those with high-risk or aggressive forms of the disease.

Experts from around the world who specialize in cancers of the blood, bone marrow and immune system are gathered in Atlanta, Georgia, for the 59th ASH Annual Meeting & Exposition, the annual meeting of the American Society of Hematology. Many Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center clinician-scientists are presenting new findings at the conference, including two whose research is being highlighted in podium presentations.
