Clinical Trials for Liver Cancer

The very latest drugs, anticancer agents, immunotherapies and other approaches are available only through clinical trials at major comprehensive cancer centers such as Roswell Park. Clinical trials represent the earliest opportunity for patients to access the newest treatments. Roswell Park offers clinical trials for liver cancer patients that:

  • Use existing drugs in new ways. Drugs like sunitinib and sorafenib may be offered in conjunction with other treatments like chemoembolization and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), especially for patients who cannot have surgery.
  • Assess new combinations of drugs. Using new immunotherapies, such as pembrolizumab (Keytruda) with sorafenib, in patients with advanced liver cancer.

About half of Roswell Park patients are eligible for a clinical research study. Your participation is entirely your choice.
