Nutrition Services

Optimizing your nutrition is an important part of your cancer care, especially for patients with esophageal cancer. Your ability to eat, swallow and process food may have changed temporarily or permanently. Our dietitians are integral members of your healthcare team and uniquely experienced in working with cancer patients to improve nutrition status before, during and after cancer treatment. Our team can help you meet vital nutrient needs to maintain strength, energy and prevent loss of muscle mass; improve your tolerance of your treatments; and promote healing to assist recovery and reduce infection risk.

Smoke-free cancer patients feel better during and after treatment and have a better chance of recovery. If you are a tobacco user, whether you are ready to quit or just thinking about it, we can help. Our tobacco treatment specialists will create a personal treatment plan to help you increase your confidence and motivation to quit tobacco. Supportive & Palliative Care

Our Supportive & Palliative Care program provides essential support and symptom management to patients facing difficult pain, nausea, poor sleep, or anxiety related to cancer and its treatment, or who may be feeling overwhelmed or don't have the support they need to get through their treatment. Our team will take the time to listen to you, assess your symptoms and provide a way forward to relieve pain and other symptoms, improve quality of life and ease emotional distress and anxiety.

Spiritual Care is an interfaith department and an important part of holistic medicine. We recognize the integration of spiritual, emotional, social, psychological and physical care as important for the health of the whole being. Working collaboratively with other health care professionals, chaplains provide spiritual care to all patients and their families and loved ones, regardless of religious affiliation.
