Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Appoints Physician in Pathology

Buffalo, NY - Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center appointed John Kasznica, MD to the department of Pathology. Dr. Kasznica comes to Roswell Park from Women and Infants Hospital (WIHRI) in Providence, RI, where he was part of the obstetric/newborn service line evaluation committee serving as a staff physician and pathologist. He was a member of the multidisciplinary boards for OB/GYN, Breast, and GI tumors. Dr. Kasznica was also the medical director of WIHRI's Clinical Microbiology and Outreach Laboratories.

He completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (Newark), and a fellowship in perinatal and developmental pathology at Babies Hospital, Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, NY.

Dr. Kasznica was honored in the 2009 Guide to Top Pathologists from the Consumer Research Council of America. He has published more than 60 research articles and abstracts which were presented at the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP) Annual Meeting several times.
