March health awareness event hosted by JC Seneca Foundation

David Silverheels, left, and Marissa Haring, are two of our patient navigators.

With March being Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, the JC Seneca Foundation in collaboration with the Department of Indigenous Cancer Health, hosted the event “Healthy Foods to Healthy Bodies.” The March 23rd event was organized to raise awareness of colorectal cancer screening and prevention with a focus on the food we put into our bodies. Dr. Kathyrn Glaser did a chair yoga demonstration, Will Maybee presented on colorectal cancer education, there was healthy foods taste testing, and our Indigenous & Rural Patient Navigation program was in attendance to serve as additional resources.
