Colorectal cancer, clinical trials education program expands

CICR webinar flyer June 2022

Moving into 2022 is proving to be an exciting time for the continued development of the Department of Indigenous Cancer Health's "Screen to Save" grant program. Our goal remains the same: offer education about colorectal cancer screening and prevention, as well as information about clinical trials to Indigenous and non-Indigenous rural community members. As the program has grown, the Department of Indigenous Cancer Health is fortunate to have the support of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe who offered their territory as additional space for this important education opportunity. The COVID-19 pandemic significantly lowered cancer screening rates and it is our hope this program will encourage more people to get screened for colorectal cancer, and potentially save more lives. This one-time education session lasts approximately one hour. Any person over age 18 is eligible! Contact Will Maybee at William.Maybee@RoswellPark.org or text/call 716-225-3418 if you would like to sign up.
