We’re kicking off Week 2 of National Nutrition Month with a resource from The American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR)

The AICR has an incredibly informative website for information on healthy lifestyle tips for cancer prevention, including nutrition and exercise. This link takes you to the Diet section of their website where you can learn about healthy eating tips. Also available on this page:

  1. A healthy diet quiz
  2. A detailed description of The New American Plate, emphasizing proper food portions and food choices to promote good health centered on a plant-based diet
  3. Recipes
  4. A guide to reading food labels

This website is chock full of healthy lifestyle information – one of my personal favorites!

Bonus! Check out the recipe for Spring Stir Fry Chicken. It is a quick, healthy dish incorporating fresh vegetables and brown rice. One 1 1/2 cup serving has only 276 calories, 16 grams protein, 350mg sodium and 5 grams of fiber.
