In 2004, Roswell Park became the first facility in the Buffalo Niagara region to offer patients the option of robotic prostatectomy. Today Roswell Park offers robot-assisted surgery (RAS) for treatment of bladder, colorectal, gynecologic, head and neck, kidney, and thoracic cancers.

If Vishal Gupta, MD, looks familiar, think back to Super Sunday, when he was introduced as part of #TeamRoswell's all-star lineup in our popular television commercial that aired locally during Super Bowl 50. Truly an MVP at Roswell Park and an expert in the field of head and neck cancer, Dr. Gupta has been providing care for patients at Roswell Park since 2013.

For many high school students, summer represents a time for rest and relaxation. However, for 70 remarkable Western New York teens, this past summer was spent acquiring life-changing skills and taking a big first step toward possible careers in health care.

Sixty-seven Western New York high school students, all with aspirations of one day saving lives, had the opportunity of a lifetime this year as part of the inaugural Greater Buffalo Junior Robotic Surgeon Challenge.
