Student workers have been beautifying the Fruit Belt community, helping patients navigate their appointments within the center and adding to their resumes in unexpected ways.

Nearly 160 years after news of the national prohibition of slavery finally reached enslaved African Americans in Texas in June 1865, the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center team will come together for a day of celebration and reflection.

Roswell Park is not only a world-class cancer center — it’s a family of people offering a helping hand to others in the City of Good Neighbors. The hospital and its staff promote the overall health and wellness of everyone who calls Buffalo home, providing assistance and good cheer.
Cancer survivors have a chance to share their stories and influence how doctors and researchers design cancer treatments, thanks to Roswell Park’s ROCKstars program.
“Experiencing Roswell Park’s tight-knit family is what compelled me to come back for a second year. Getting a thank you from a neighbor can really change your day.”
