The Patient Signature Society

The Patient Signature Society is a group of cancer survivors and patients who meet once a month to sign thank you cards for donors. Through their work, members can express gratitude to those who generously give to Roswell Park’s quality-of-life programs and research projects.

Each month, the volunteers sign 400 to 600 cards. The group is helping to ensure that donations keep coming in and research keeps moving forward — as recent studies indicate that donors who receive exceptional thank you cards are more likely to give again.

The society’s meetings have also become an informal support group. While the patients and survivors work on the cards, they share their stories, offering advice and comfort to one another.

If you’re interested in joining, the Patient Signature Society meets at 9 a.m. on the second Wednesday of every month in the Linda Dobmeier conference room (ground floor) in the Clinical Sciences Center. A long-term commitment is not necessary.
