Biography:
Dr. Altok was appointed to Roswell Park Care Network in 2022. He serves in the Department of Urology.
Dr. Altok attended Ege University Faculty of Medicine in Izmir, Turkey where he earned his medical degree in 2003. He subsequently completed his residency in Urology in 2009 at Tepecik Research and Training Hospital in Turkey. In 2013, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Urology at Suleyman Demirel University in Isparta, Turkey. He joined MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas in 2015 as a visiting assistant professor of urology and conducted research on urological cancers. In 2021, he joined the Endourological Society Fellowship Program at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and completed his training on Advanced Clinical Training in Laparoscopic/Robotic Surgery.
Dr. Altok specializes in the care of patients with general urological disorders and genitourinary cancers. He provides expertise in both robot-assisted and open operative approaches.
Dr. Altok has authored and co-authored many peer-reviewed publications and abstracts on urology and genitourinary oncology topics. He serves as a reviewer for multiple journals, including Journal of Urology, BJU International, BJUI Compass, Urologic Oncology, International Urology and Nephrology Journal, and Scandinavian Journal of Urology.
Dr. Altok is a member of the American Urologic Association (AUA), Endourology Society, Urooncology Association, and Society of Urological Surgery.
