MEDLINE via Ovid is a bibliographic database covering the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, and the preclinical sciences. This resource contains citations and author abstracts from more than 5,200 biomedical journals. Updated daily, MEDLINE uses the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) thesaurus for indexing articles. Searching MeSH will help to retrieve information that uses different terminology for the same concept. Coverage is worldwide, but most records are from English-language sources or have English abstracts.
