Scientists looking to better understand the mechanisms behind the origin and spread of melanoma tumors have uncovered a possible role for a decades-old antibacterial agent in treating these aggressive and increasingly common cancers.

The Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, Eastern Great Lakes Chapter (SNMMI-EGLC), will be holding its annual meeting at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center on May 8 and May 9, 2015. The keynote presenter for the meeting is Robert Wah, MD, President of the American Medical Association (AMA).

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Country music star Kellie Pickler will perform at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Celebration of Hope, a community-wide rally against cancer that will celebrate survivors, patients and all those who are fighting for a cure.

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and the University at Buffalo have been granted accreditation by the Commission on Dental Accreditation for a newly created general-practice dental residency program. Students in the one-year program will rotate between the UB Dental and Roswell Park Dental Services.
