Immunotherapy Developed at Roswell Park Being Tested as Treatment for Multiple Myeloma

An immune-based therapy developed at Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) is moving forward with its third clinical trial. The early-stage clinical trial will assess whether SurVaxM — a cancer vaccine developed at Roswell Park — is a safe and effective treatment option for patients with multiple myeloma, a rare type of blood cancer.

Everyone’s life is a story — a tale of challenges and triumphs, perseverance, hope and love. If you are a cancer survivor, you are invited to share your story and listen as others tell theirs during a special event Saturday, June 4, from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. The event, “A Hero’s Journey,” will explore the power of storytelling in the healing process.
