Construction projects on Roswell Park’s campus

New Construction at Roswell Park

Spring is construction time at Roswell Park, too, and a few upcoming improvements planned for April may affect your visit. Please note the following projects:

Side entrance of the Scott Bieler Clinical Sciences Center

Construction to the side entrance of the Bieler CSC at the corner of Michigan and Carlton Street is anticipated to begin the first week of April. The entrance will close temporarily as we add a vestibule in order to mitigate strong winds entering from that side of the building. If you enter the Roswell Park campus through the CSC, please follow signage and enter through the front entrance located on Carlton Street. If you are being dropped off and picked up for an appointment, your ride is encouraged to use the front circle and enter through the main hospital.

Radiation Medicine parking lot

The Roswell Park Radiation Medicine parking lot on North Oak Street between Carlton and High Streets – and the current location for COVID-19 testing on campus – will be closing for paving and repairs. Construction is anticipated to begin 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, and last through 5 a.m. Tuesday, April 25. Please note that this project is weather-dependent, and timing may vary. We ask our Radiation Medicine patients to please park in the main ramp on Carlton Street as work is being completed. If you need wheelchair assistance, visit our valet service at the front circle of the hospital.

COVID-19 testing during this time

For patients scheduled for surgery Monday, April 24: Testing will be located in our Pediatric vestibule on Saturday and Sunday (April 22 & 23). The vestibule is located past SPoT Coffee on the main level of the hospital. Please follow signage or ask an employee for further assistance. If you are not scheduled for surgery and require testing, please visit your home clinic or you may schedule a visit at your preferred urgent care office. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to complete these important projects.
