Our clinical expertise
Patients who receive cellular therapies should be treated at a center where the medical team has significant experience in delivering these newest immunotherapies and recognizing and managing the side effects. Our team includes leaders who have decades of experience in developing these approaches, treating patients with these therapies, and in recognizing, predicting and mitigating side effects. In addition:
- Transplant & Cellular Therapy Center at Roswell Park is a Center of Excellence, dedicated to providing these innovative cell treatments by nationally recognized experts.
- Accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) as both an adoptive cellular therapy program and a bone marrow transplant (BMT) program. This indicates that Roswell Park adheres to strict standards and works constantly to achieve the best patient outcomes.
Our cutting-edge facilities
Cell therapy requires the ability to engineer and manufacture those therapeutic cells in a sophisticated, dedicated facility built for that purpose. Few centers across the country were involved in cell-based cancer treatments at any level when we opened our Therapeutic Cell Production Facility with one cell production “clean room” in 2010. Today, our facility includes:
- Six cell production clean rooms — and 14 more are under construction now! Our ability to keep cell production in house eliminates the need to rely on external manufacturing partners and helps us to open more clinical trials faster. Patients who need these treatments don’t have time to wait.
- Clinical Research Center. This inpatient unit is designed especially for patients receiving treatments as part of a clinical trial.

We’ve been caring for cancer patients for more than 100 years, and our cancer care focuses on you and not just your cancer. We offer a comprehensive range of support services including nutrition interventions, physical therapy, spiritual care, mental health counseling, music, art, and pet therapy, and more.
