About William J. Magner

I earned my PhD in Biochemistry, with a minor in Immunology, from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH, in 1994. Between 1994 and 1999, I completed postdoctoral fellowship training at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD. I am an Instructor, Immunology Program, Roswell Park Graduate Division, University at Buffalo.

I joined Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in 1999 working in the Immunology Department on epigenetic mechanisms of immune escape especially histone acetylation and miRNA. In 2018, I moved to the Head & Neck, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Department where I continue my work in tumor immunology. I also participate in retrospective studies assessing cancer diagnosis, treatment, and outcome.
