About William Alexander

Biography:

I grew up in Tennessee and attended Maryville College where I completed my undergraduate degree in chemistry. I moved to New York state to attend the University of Rochester where I obtained an MD and PhD, with my research focusing on the biology of hepatobiliary cancers. I completed my residency in internal medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo that was followed by a fellowship in palliative medicine, during which I have pursued research in psychiatric aspects of palliative care.
