Whitney Mendel

Biography:

Dr. Whitney Mendel is a Research Scientist in Cancer Screening within the Department of Medicine. Her work is focused on improving lung cancer screening rates within the WNY communities and throughout the state. She is also the Coordinator of the NYS Cancer Consortium's Lung Cancer Screening Action Team, a state-wide collaborative which seeks to mobilize multi-level resources to decrease lung cancer mortality by increasing lung cancer screening using guideline-driven, evidence-based strategies.
