Biography:
I graduated from the University of Rome "La Sapienza" in Odontostomatologia e Protesi Dentale (Dentistry and Dental Prosthesis) with a thesis on tooth transplants. I then moved to UCONN as Visiting Scientist in Endodontics, learning and working with Prof. Langeland and Pascon. Then moved to Buffalo to earn the Master in Oral Sciences, with a thesis on effects of tetracycline for treatment of periodontal therapy, under supervision of Dr. Robert J Genco, then hired to work in the Department of Periodontology and Endodontics, under the leadership of Dr. Sebastian Ciancio.
Had the opportunity to work as Manager of the Applied Testing Center at Ivoclar Vvadent, Inc, in Amherst NY, then worked as Senior Manager and Head of the Oral Care R&D Microbiology for Pfizer Consumer Healthcare, transitioning into Senior Manager of Oral Care R&D for Johnson & Johnson Microbiology.
Subsequently served as Professor in the Department of Periodontics at Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry, to finally return to Buffalo as Director of Implant Dentistry of the State University of New York at Buffalo.
I enjoy fine dining, Native American history and cheering the Bills. In the spare time I have fun with my wife Carla and His Royal Highness, our Pomeranian.
