An international clinical trial co-led by Roswell Park's Dr. Eunice Wang has demonstrated that the investigational drug ziftomenib can produce deep, durable responses in people with a specific biological subtype of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Dr. Wang will present study findings at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting in Chicago.

In talks at the annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, experts from Roswell Park will give remarks on racial and ethnic disparities in outcomes among people with metastatic breast cancer; risk patterns for second cancers associated with human papillomavirus (HPV); and effects of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) on cognitive function.

A meta-analysis led by Roswell Park's Muhammad Awidi, MD, has identified key factors that could improve outcomes for cancer patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors before or after a solid-organ transplant. The study will be featured as an oral abstract during at the American Society of Clinical Oncology Annual Meeting in Chicago.
