If you are age 65 or older, you have decisions to make about your healthcare insurance, and you’ll need to make your choice from October 15 to December 7.
What you need to know about Medicare and Roswell Park
Whether you are new to Medicare, evaluating your current insurance plan, or considering a switch, protect your health and financial future by ensuring the doctors and hospitals you trust are in your insurance network. Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center participates in Original Medicare. However, if you have a private Medicare Advantage (Part C) plan, also referred to as an individual Medicare Advantage plan, you need to pay close attention to plan network changes for 2027.
Medicare Advantage plans can change every year — so can your access to Roswell Park. For 2027, some individual Medicare Advantage plans in our area are changing which hospitals and cancer specialists they cover. Roswell Park may not be in every plan. If staying with Roswell Park matters to you, check before you enroll or renew your plan before December 7. Do not assume that this year’s coverage is carried over.
Where to start
We know this is confusing. We put together a page of resources to explain how to learn whether your plan includes care at Roswell Park, help answer your Medicare questions, and how to get help if you want to consider a different plan.
