Research led by Roswell Park's Dr. Matthew Cortese has shed light on how the drug venetoclax works synergistically with CAR T-cell immunotherapy to combat chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), the most common type of leukemia in the U.S.

A preclinical study led by Roswell Park faculty member Lisa Niswander, MD, PhD, shows that gilteritinib can strengthen CAR T-cell immunotherapy in two high-risk pediatric leukemias that have poor survival rates.
