Biography
Dr. Yeary is a Nutritional Scientist who develops and tests pragmatic dietary behavioral interventions for the primary and secondary prevention of cancer. In the majority of her work, she uses a community-based participatory research approach in collaborating with communities to address health inequities. She also conducts dissemination and implementation science research to scale-up evidence-based interventions. Dr. Yeary's work has included dietary change interventions to prevent cancer recurrence in cancer patients and survivors, obesity treatment strategies to prevent cancer in Black communities of faith, and building community-academic partnerships to facilitate research addressing social determinants of health.
