George T. 'Buddy' Hickman

Biography:

It is a pleasure to serve the missions of Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, having spent nearly 30 years as a digital health executive.

Serving as CIO, I have progressed the technology and data-enabled directions of several academic health sciences systems, critical access and FQHC providers through strategic leadership of digital health/IT, data analytics (as chief analytics officer), biomedical engineering and cybersecurity efforts.

My work is complemented by my experiences as a healthcare consulting partner with a global Big 4 firm and as chief strategy officer for a health sector cybersecurity assurance firm. I have had the opportunity to serve many remarkable many clients as a leader and advisor across the U.S. as well as with the Ministry of Health in Singapore and the UK Health Authority.

From early engineering undergrad days, I felt called to spend my energies in healthcare. Thus, I am delighted to be a Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center serving our remarkable mission.
