High-impact cancer science. Translational medicine.
In 1898, Dr. Roswell Park established the first cancer center in the United States. He brought researchers and clinicians into one "dedicated setting" to study and treat malignant disease. His goal was to assemble scientists "fitted for such work.”
More than 120 years later, we’re one of the few Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the country, with world-renowned faculty and world-class facilities. Our interdisciplinary focus means you’ll work in a unique immersive environment you won’t find anywhere else.
Roswell Park is ranked among the world's best specialized hospitals
Roswell Park is the only Upstate New York center to be named in the top 50 of Newsweek's 2023 World’s Best Specialized Hospitals for Oncology — and the only Buffalo-area center to be included on the full list of 250 top cancer hospitals internationally.
Roswell Park is committed to consistent, ongoing and proactive actions that create and support diverse, equitable and inclusive communities both within and outside our center. This work is central to our mission to serve, support and heal our community.
Our knowledge is growing exponentially, and the technology is evolving rapidly – and every generation of leaders trained at Roswell Park is fighting for a cure.
