About Dylan Schaefer

Biography:

As a member of the Department of Supportive & Palliative Care, I collaborate with the Roswell Park Psychedelic Science Initiative (PSI) to develop innovative clinical trials exploring the therapeutic potential of psychedelics for managing cancer-related symptoms.

I completed my undergraduate degrees at the University at Buffalo, where I conducted a meta-analysis on the therapeutic efficacy of three psychedelic drugs for my UB Psychology Honors thesis. With a strong interest in this field, I've attended the MAPS Psychedelic Science 2023 research conference in Denver and am currently enrolled in the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Master's in Psychoactive Pharmaceutical Investigation.

I am passionate about clinical study startup and regulatory processes, guiding trials through protocol development, IRB review, and FDA approval.
