About Deepak Vadehra

Biography:

Dr. Vadehra is a board certified medical oncologist at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. He treats cancers of the gastrointestinal tract and his clinical areas of focus are cancers of the lower GI tract including colon cancer, rectal cancer, and anal cancer. He became interested in GI cancers during his fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology at Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte NC. During his fellowship training he had the opportunity to serve as a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Trainee and Early Career Physician (TEC) Council. As a part of his role with the TEC council he had opportunity to be a part of the focus group on social determinants of health (SDOH). He was moderator of an episode of the SDOH podcast series, focusing on access to care.

Dr. Vadehra's research and clinical interests include colorectal cancer in the young adult population, health disparities and their role in cancer care, and clinical trials in lower GI cancers.
