Final Results of Phase 2 Clinical Trial Clarify Role of JAK2 Inhibitor in Combating Acute Graft-Versus-Host Disease

New research led by Roswell Park’s Brian Betts, MD, shows that adding a JAK inhibitor to standard treatment did not improve GvHD prevention for patients with hematologic cancers. Further research is warranted to determine whether this strategy might benefit patients who experience the chronic, more widely systemic form of GVHD.
