Qigong (pronounced “Chee gong”) is an ancient Chinese practice involving gentle, slow movements — these movements have been shown to reduce fatigue, relieve depression, and improve quality of sleep. Classes held for patients, survivors, and caregivers will be held on Thursdays at 1 p.m. in Kaminski Park. Please RSVP to Cassandra Jackson at Cassandra.Jackson@RoswellPark.org to reserve your spot!
Qigong integrates physical postures, breathing techniques and focused intention. Usually these movements are designed to generate better integration of the whole body and to support everyday movements. It has many functions including reducing stiffness and soreness, increasing the body's resistance and encouraging relaxation.
