Roswell Park has been a proud sponsor of the organization’s annual gala for the last five years and has collaborated with Buffalo Black Nurses on turkey drives, backpack giveaways and a joint job fair held in September.

During this year’s Buffalo Black Nurses Gala and Scholarship Dinner, held Nov. 5, Tiffany Anderson, MSN, RN, a senior nursing leader with Roswell Park, was installed as the group’s next President.

Roswell Park President and CEO Candace S. Johnson, PhD accepted the award on behalf of the cancer center at the gala.

“Roswell Park has worked to make sure all our team members have a path upward and good opportunities for advancement, and we can only be effective in this work through partnerships with outstanding organizations like Buffalo Black Nurses,” says Dr. Johnson, who is also the M&T Bank Presidential Chair in Leadership at the cancer center. “It is our privilege and honor to help BBN create those same opportunities, and we thank every BBN nurse for the compassion, care and talent you give to be of service to patients, their loved ones and this whole community.”
