All nurses at Roswell Park are oncology nurses, meaning they are differentiated from nurses that might work in an emergency room, more generalized hospital environment or in a community doctor’s office.

For her preparedness and willingness to jump in and work to save a man’s life, Marioly Ambrose is being recognized as Roswell Park’s Nurse of the Month for February.

Since 2006, therapy dogs have been an important part of patient care, providing gentle support and a reason to smile, a break from a stressful time for patients, caregivers and hospital employees alike.

“I get to know patients and help heal their physical and emotional pain and improve their quality of life at all stages of treatment.”
