His research interests include improving outcomes and quality of care in cancer patients. He has led studies on non-operative management, also known as the “watch and wait” strategy, and specializes in minimally invasive approaches to tumors. Just last year, Dr. Nurkin was recognized for completing 500 robotic-assisted surgeries (RAS) for colon and rectal cancer.
