Are you or someone you love among the more than 15.5 million cancer survivors living in the United States? The number of people diagnosed with cancer is expected to increase dramatically in the next 20 years, meaning the number of survivors will increase as well.
For each survivor, there’s a series of new experiences and firsts as you try to navigate your new normal, including the possibility of facing various medical, psychological, spiritual and emotional issues stemming directly from your disease or the treatments you’ve received.
Recognizing the importance of helping cancer survivors navigate and address these long-term impacts, Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is thrilled to be hosting the return of Chapter 2: A Cancer Survivor’s Workshop for Living Your Best Life on Saturday, May 17. This event will take place in Williamsville at our 100 College Parkway location.
Chapter 2 is a morning-long workshop filled with activities, speakers and sessions that help current patients, survivors and their loved ones and caregivers learn how to move forward with their lives. Sessions include a panel discussion with Roswell Park’s survivorship team; information on how to read the documents provided by your doctor; learning how to rebuild and stabilize your finances after cancer; and group activities including a light fitness workout and Qi Gong.
