Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Pathology Program is expanding with the appointments of two sub-specialists — one new to Roswell Park, one an accomplished team member for many years — to leadership roles.

New research from Roswell Park provides the first evidence that a cancer patient’s level of financial worry as they begin treatment predicts how likely it is that their treatment will be successful.

A team of Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center researchers has identified a new biomarker that could predict response to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) shortly after patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) initiate therapy. An experienced executive with a passion for serving cancer patients and exceptional strategic leadership skills has rejoined the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center team. Roswell Park President and CEO Candace S. Johnson, PhD, has recruited Jeff Walker, MBA, back to Western New York to fill the new role of Executive Vice President of Operations and Transformation for the National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center.
